The Workshop on Climatic VariationPrediction and Application---20th Anniversary of IOD Research, jointly organized by Institute for Climate and Application Research of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (ICAR/NUIST) and Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (APL/JAMSTEC), will convene in Nanjing, China, on November 17-19, 2019. This Workshop will promote the Sino-Japan science and technology exchange, and bring together a diverse community to share developments in climatic variationprediction and application research, discuss the opportunity and challenges for climate research, and improve the development of climate model and societal application of climate prediction. Another theme of this Workshop is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Indian Ocean Dipole Research by sharing the major and latest research results since the discovery of the IOD phenomenon. Academicians and experts from home and abroad will give keynote speeches on the Workshop. We encourage participation by students and researchers of diverse community.
